SHIP PROFILE:
All cabins come equipped
with sink, toilet and shower. All cabins are outside and have a
porthole. Ten cabins in total.
- Cabins One and Two are single occupancy, with a double bed and
writing table.
- Cabins Three, Four, Nine and Ten all have two larger than single
beds. The beds are about 48 inches wide. These are the largest
of our cabins, with a large writing table and large closets.
- Cabins Five and Seven are two single beds. The beds are L shaped,
ideal for roommates sharing.
- Cabins Six and Eight are queen size beds, perfect for tall guests.
The beds how ever consume most of the cabin and leave very little
floor space.
- Upper Deck - The upper deck houses the dining lounge where all
meals and activities take place. There are areas to sit outside
the deck and enjoy the view.
- Top Deck - The top deck is home to the wheelhouse, which guests
are invited to spend time in and enjoy. There is also an outdoor
deck again which the view can be enjoyed.
The Norweta is best described as casual comfort. Originally built
in 1971 as a passenger ship, she spent 4 years on the Mackenzie.
She then worked as a standby by ship in the Beaufort Sea for ten
years. She was purchased and refurbished in 1991 by the current
owners. Margaret and George Whitlock.
